HeartCode BLS Overview

HeartCode BLS is the American Heart Association’s 2 Part BLS Program. Basically there is less classroom time; 

Part 1 is online and provided by The American Heart Association. During the online you will be provided the Lecture, Video Portions and the written exam.

Part 2 is the Skills practice and Validation.  This portion is provided here at CPR Down South.

- There are two separate fees.  Part 1 is $32.50 for the Online portion paid to the American Heart Association.  Part 2 is $40 for the Skills Practice, Validation and Certification Card, paid the CPR Down South.

- You will receive the BLS Certification Card upon completion of both parts issued immediately after Skills Validation. 

- Remember to bring the Part 1 completion document to Part 2.

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s BLS blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session. Upon completion of Part-2 you will receive the AHA BLS for Health Care Provider Card. 

Complete Part 1, the online portion with the American Heart Association + Part 2, hands-on skills session with us at CPR Down South.

The online portion of HeartCode BLS can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours. Time to complete the hands-on skills session varies from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the experience of the student.

**Must have the AHA Part 1 Completion Certificate before attending Part 2**
